ICPAPH logoThe Toronto Charter for Physical Activity aims to increase political commitment towards population-based approaches to promoting health enhancing physical activity throughout the world. The Charter will provide a "call for action" across all sectors to start or scale up actions supporting physically active lifestyles for all to increase health and quality of life of individuals and communities.

The Toronto Charter for Physical Activity will be a resource to support and initiate increased advocacy actions aimed at raising awareness and influencing decision makers at national and regional levels. The shared goal is to increase the priority given to promoting health enhancing physical activity and to secure increased resources for implementation of effective policy and programs at the population level.

The intended users of the Toronto Charter for Physical Activity include decision makers, professionals and academics across many relevant disciplines, including public health, sport and exercise, recreation, urban planning, transport, education and local government.

To be successful and meet these goals the Toronto Charter for Physical Activity needs YOUR input. It is under development, and we welcome your interest and invite you to complete this online survey to help us improve and finalise the Charter. YOU are a potential user of the Toronto Charter for Physical Activity so please help us to make this useful, relevant and influential!
